In the interest of full disclosure, I love comic-books and comic-book movies.  I am also a Spider-man fan.  However, I am not sure why we need a movie that goes over the origin of Spider-man yet again! 

We all know his origin story by now, especially since the Sam Raimi movies were done not too long ago.  There seems to be a Spider-man cartoon on the air every other year.  After Superman and Batman, he is probably the most well recognized superhero.  Why waste the millions of dollars in film budget by retreading the same story again?

Like James Bond, I think Spider-man is such an established character by now that the film studios should just jump into a new story without bothering with an origin story.  His name is Peter Parker, and he can climb on walls.  That’s all we need to know.

The previews for this movie do nothing to excite me.  Everything looks very similar to the recent Spider-man movies, so I fear whether this movie can standout from what came previously.
